About UFF

Ukrainian Fencing Federation is a public organization created in 1992, which has national status.

We’re the home of fencing in Ukraine — supporting beginners, professional fencers, amateurs and anyone who loves this wonderful sport.

Ukrainian Fencing Federation is authorized by the State to develop fencing and has the exclusive right to represent fencing of Ukraine at official international fencing competitions, as well as the right to organize official international fencing competitions on the territory of Ukraine and all-Ukrainian sports events.

Ukrainian Fencing Federation has been the governing body of Ukrainian fencing since 1992.

Our mission is to grow and promote the sport of fencing in Ukraine, honor its rich traditions, achieve sustained competitive international excellence and develop international cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports.

The Federation is a non-profit organization, the main purpose of its activity is not to make a profit.

Ukraine prepared:

  • 27 world champions
  • 22 European champions
  • 7 Olympic champions
  • 4 silver medalists of the Olympic Games
  • 3 Olympic bronze medalists

More than 40 competitions are organized under the patronage of National Fencing Federation of Ukraine:

  • 15 competitions for children aged 10 to 14 years
  • 11 competitions for cadets (from 12 to 17 years old)
  • 10 competitions for juniors (from 18 to 20 years old)
  • 10 tournaments in the adult age category
  • 10 competitions for veterans and amateurs

During the 33 years of the Federation’s existence, Ukrainian athletes won 230 medals of the Olympic Games, World and European championships.

Ukrainian Fencing Federation is one of the most powerful national fencing federations in the world. More than 160 fencers from Ukraine compete in about 100 international tournaments in various age categories every year.
